2 Arrests Made In Connection With East Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged a second man in connection to a deadly east Charlotte shooting.

Shagarean Baker, 20, turned himself in to police on Sunday.  He’s facing a slew of charges including robbery with a dangerous weapon and murder.

Police said they were called to an apartment complex in the 7000 block of Snow Lane near East W.T. Harris Boulevard. When they arrived, they found Zhonton Zhavet Berry, he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Authorities have also charged 34-year-old Jairus Henley as a suspect and after interviewing him.

Detectives later charged him with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.
