WADESBORO, N.C. – A homicide investigation is underway in Anson County after a man was found dead early Monday morning.
Deputies are investigating at a home in Wadesboro along the 1000-block of Highway 52 North. This is near the Walmart along Highway 74, just outside of the city limits of Wadesboro.
The Anson County sheriff says they are searching for two men after witnesses say they forced their way into the home, shot the victim and ran off. The victim is reportedly in his 20s.
According to officials, a woman and her boyfriend were in the home sitting on the couch when two men came into the house and one of them shot the victim. He died at the scene.
State investigators are on scene to help with the investigation.
