2 Stores Robbed In Broad Daylight By Armed Woman

armed robberCHARLOTTE, N.C. —Two south Charlotte pharmacies were robbed at gunpoint by a woman in the middle of the day while dozens were inside the stores, police said.

 The first robbery was at a BiLo store around 11:30 a.m. on Camfield Street near Rea Road.

The second robbery was an hour later and less than three miles away was at a CVS Pharmacy on Providence Road.

Witnesses in each case told police that woman came in with a gun and demanded prescription pills and they saw her walk away on foot.

Police said a woman with a pink towel wrapped around her head walked inside the south Charlotte BiLo, went to the pharmacy with a gun and demanded painkillers.

She got away with the drugs and within minutes of the police arriving.

Then she went to the CVS Pharmacy, police said.

They said she demanded painkillers again and after terrifying employees, police said she walked away from the scene possibly meeting up with a getaway driver somewhere nearby.
