The January 911 call David Crespi made to police was released today. I am not quite sure what to think about it. I listened to the recording and I feel numb.

Crespi plead guilty on July 28th to the murders of his 5 year old twin daughters, Tess and Samantha Crespi. As part of a plea agreement Crespi received life in prison- without the possibility of parole.

The 911 call lasts for about 12 minutes as Crespi confesses his crime to a 911 operator. Crespi is being held in a correctional facility in Alexander County where he is receiving medical treatment.

As sad as this whole event was, my heart breaks for this entire family, including David. He isn't a monster. I was married for many years to a man who was bipolar and went unmedicated. He denied any problems, yet life was living hell in my home. It took a beating that almost ended my own life for me to get out - and for him to realize what kind of help he really needed. Bipolar is a disease but is widely undetected or misdiagnosed. God speed to those beautiful children. Unfortunately, Mr. Crespi will live with this horror the rest of his life... God can forgive, but his biggest obstacle will be forgiving himself. My heart goes out to him as much as his family.... I've been there.
