Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have charged Kevin Andrew Powell, 27, (R) for the murder of Jamar Flowers that occurred on March 10th.Jamar Flowers was found shot to death inside an apartment at the Grand Oaks Apartments on Wisteria Drive.
Police are not releasing any additional information about the case at this time.

my heart goes out to mr flowers family and friends. once again the poor justice system has put an innocent man behind bars for a crime he did not commit.there wasn't any real evidence supporting the fact that he committed the crime. for instance, if there was real evidence, why wasn't mr powell put behind bars four years ago? why now they brought him to trial based upon reasonable doubt> i understand that the d.a have to uphold their credibility, but it should not be at the cost of putting innocent people behind bars.
