I would like to recognize Jeff Katz and Al Gardner @ WBT 1110 for starting the 'Support Our Officers' ribbon campaign.
We can support the family of the fallen officers AND we need to let the living CMPD Officers know we care!
Don't forget to thank a police officer when you see them! As we saw this weekend, they put their lives on the line for us!!!!
Both officers were memebers of the Fraternal Order of Police. So the got $5000 each and there familys will be taken care of! Your donations to these funds like the FOP and the police fund makes the difference
I think this incident has touched more Chralotte residents than you realize. It's time to get angry and take our city back from the gang members, the home invading rapists, the drug dealers, the drunken illegal immigrants who get behind a wheel of a car. Charlotte is a wonderful city, and it's time that the citizens start protecting her before she is ravaged beyond repair and we become as bad as Atlanta or NOLA!
Take the streets back the gangs??? They're high on crack, carry guns and have pit bulls. The most serious weapon I have is a baseball bat and a Bichon Frise!
BTW, isn't safe to say that "gang members, home invading rapist and drug dealers" are all the same group? Most of us "newcomers" just refer to them as "locals."
Charlotte WAS a wonderful city . . . years ago!
Have you heard the latest from the Latin community about Hispanic drunk drivers - they're homesick and lonely, that's why the drink and drive!!! My nearest family member is 700 miles away and I haven't had a sip of alcohol outside my home in the 4 years I've been here. It's just more BS!!!
Go Bobcats and Light Rail!!! Yeah right - just kidding.
Let's not let these officers deaths be in vain. It's time to rid Charlotte of these criminals. It a good thing for scumbag Demetrius Antonio Montgomery that I am not the Chief of Police for Charlotte as he would be hung at Trade and Tryon square at high noon Saturday for all to witness. I do NOT want the citizens of Charlotte to have to waste any of our tax dollars on this low life. Just put him out of OUR misery.
Just as a point of intrest, it is not just hispanics that get behind the wheel drunk. The majority of the drunk drivers that I have arrested have been white males. The point that I am making is the courts have to do their jobs, I and the other officers are doing ours.
