Mother Stabs Child at Women's Shelter
Paula Earlene Williamson, 33, is sitting in the Mecklenburg County jail after she stabbed her two year old little girl and doused her body with gasoline.
Shortly after 9:30 last night, CMPD Officers and Medic were called to the Salvation Army Women's Shelter on Spratt Street. When police arrived, they found the little girl with stab wounds and covered in gas.
The little girl was transported to Carolinas Medical Center and is listed in fair condition.
Paula Williamson is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill- Inflicting Serious Injury and Felony Child Abuse.

That is so sad. That poor little girl must have suffered.
God Bless the child. And have mercy on the mother.
Take her to mental health and lock her up! she must be mentally ill to do this to a child. She probably didn't know what she was doing. God bless that poor child.
