Bank of America on Prosperity Church Rd. Robbed
Yesterday afternoon, a man robbed the Bank of America branch, located at 3021 Prosperity Church Road.
Police say a lone black man entered the bank and threatened a teller with a gun. He left with an undisclosed amount of money. The teller describes the man as being about 5’2” to 5’3” with a medium build. He’s described as having a full beard. Witnesses say he may have been wearing a hat.
No one was hurt during the robbery. Investigators from CMPD and the FBI Charlotte Safe Streets Task Force responded to the robbery and are still investigating. Anyone with information regarding this case is requested to contact the FBI at (704) 377-9200.

This is the second time this bank has been robbed in the few months it has been open. The Food Lion across the road used to be robbed on a regular basis until they hired an armed security guard. The Bojangles about one block from the bank was held up late last year and last week there was a home invasion in Coulvard Park. It is not at all unusual to see thugs and panhandlers hanging out at the Texaco station at the intersection of Mallard Creek and Mallard Creek Church road.This situation did not exist until the liberal wizards at the Charlotte Housing Authority put a massive Section 8 welfare complex on Prosperity Church road about two blocks west of the Winchester development.Now, when we come home in the afternoon it is often to the sound of the police helicopter overhead. People say Charlotte's growth has displaced the wildlife. I beg to differ: the wildlife is on two legs, well armed,crazed by drugs and roaring through this area in SUVS with "rap crap" blasting. You can call the city leaders all you want with absolutely no results.This is what(along with the rotten schools) is going to run the middle class and it's tax base right out of town!
A 5'2" bank robber??? Midget Thugs - now I've heard it all. Maybe he needed the money for elevator shoes.

Looks like a hat to me! If they don't recognize that, surely they can't be right about his height!
