Carolina Panthers Player Arrested for DWI
UPDATE II: Dwayne Jarrett has pled guilty to charges of DUI. Jarrett surrendered his driver's license and was ordered to pay $420 in court costs and perform 24 hours of community service.
UPDATE: Jarrett's blood-alcohol level was .12 when he was arrested. The legal limit is .08.
Dwayne Edward Jarrett, 21, was arrested early this morning by the Mint Hill Police Department and was charged with driving while impaired.
According to the police, Jarrett ran a red light and was driving left of center on Lawyers Road. Police will not say what his blood alcohol level was at the time of his arrest. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
Jarrett is a wide-receiver for the Carolina Panthers. Dwayne Jarrett (#80) was drafted by the Panthers in the 2nd round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Funny....I do not remember this site posting the phot of the Sheriff Captain that was arrested a few weeks back for DUI.
Now we know why he can't memorize the Panthers playbook.
You are right anon 6:28pm...the sheriff that got arrested wasn't good enough for this site (on crime said she didn't post it because it wasn't a criminal crime, just a mistamenor - sp wrong, I know). But we know why he wasn't on this site, don't we....cause he's WHITE and it seems she just wants to scare everyone with thinking that only black people comment crimes to make more people prejudice and bigoted against blacks.
Yes....for all the nitwits...I know blacks commit more crimes than whites, I don't have to be told that everyday. On crime posts the significant crimes, right. A panthers player needs to be shown because of what....so we can see a drunk running with a ball and might hurt someone. Whereas, we don't see a sheriff that actually could arrest you one day, the one that is supposed to uphold the law. The one WE pay to do so.
And....ON Crime....
I hope this post gets up there, lately you have been disregarding my posts completely. I don't cuss or say anything that would be offensive like other people on here, but yet you post their comments.

First of all, this is MY blog. So, I post what I want, when I want and where I want! I cannot recall why I didn’t post a Sheriff Officer’s DUI but I would bet it was because I didn’t have TIME! This blog is a very time consuming ‘hobby’ for a woman who works full-time!
I don't have to explain why I moderate your comments. Judging from your last comment, I’ve moderated your comments because you claim I “only post the black” people and I’m sick of hearing it. If white, green or yellow people were committing the same amount of violent crimes in Charlotte, these pages would be filled with them!
I have an idea for you… start your own blog. You can gripe and complain all you want and save me the trouble of having to read and moderate your nonsense comments!
Way to stand your ground On Crime. You continue to fight the good fight. All of us in law enforcement appreciate this blog and everything you do.
That may be true, but on some real shit, you do post a lot of black people.
I think from your perspective, you think you are doing the community a service by displaying a smorgesboard of criminals.
Now, from my perspective, when I'm at work, I feel like I have to rey extra hard to disprove the myth that deep down, I'm like the people you post on here.
And no, its not your fault...its the fault of the people that commit the crimes.
However, the site does (inadvertantly, at least) perpetuate the myth that the majority African Americans are scourge, when in reality, its the exact opposite. The majority of us are hard working, just like you all....but there are bad apples in every bunch.
So yes, this is your site, and you can post what you want, and no, its not as bad as some others (i.e. thugreport), but please don't deny that it does more than you may intend.
Oh, and I know, I can go somewhere else and get my news if I don't like it, but...I do like it, I think its interesting and unique.
By the way, in the last 24 hours, there were 41 black people arrested, and 14 white. That number represents a gross disparity between the races, but it also means that we should see about a 1:3 ratio (for today at least). I'm just saying...

Do you think I should just start posting white people with lesser charges... just to have white people on my blog?
Maybe she posts alot of black people because ALOT OF BLACK PEOPLE ARE COMMITTING THE CRIMES! I am so sick and tired of these blacks who want to sit there and piss and moan and act like black crime is not a problem. WAKE THE F**K UP!
There was a great stat i read the other week that showed 1 in 247 whites were in prison and 1 in 41 blacks were in prison. Gee, I guess this is a lie to make the blacks look bad isn't it? Yeah, the two thugs that killed the girl at UNC, I am sure they were "good wholesome kids" right 9:59?
One last note, don't you LOVE how these black whiners CONTINUALLY bash this place, yet keep reading it lol? On crime, keep up the AWESOME work and do not let these black radical racists MORONS get you down!

On Crime...I think you do a great job. I, too, am tired of the black people not admitting their community has a huge problem. If they would just ADMIT it then maybe something could change. But how can anything change if they think the problem is just a manipulation of numbers and police prejudice by the white people. Enough is enough. If they want to stay in their own neighborhoods and kill each other, then fine...but you come to my neighborhood and I am armed and ready.
On Crime, as you can see the little coward didn't come back. Typical, blame everyone else for your own problems instead of facing the facts of the matter.
I also am sick and tired of how everytime something does not go a black persons way they scream racism. I go to UNCC fulltime and we had a discussion in class where the professor asked if a person should get a job based on skin color or their sex. IMMEDIATELY a black spoke up and said it was wrong and blacks have for too long been held back by the whites in power. The professor let him speak his peace and then asked him if he really felt that way. The student said yes and the professor said that is good to hear, I guess you are against affirmative action then. It was hilarious, he had nothing to say and of course fell back on the typical black crutch, "Affirmative action is needed because "his people" were held back for so many years due to slavery" When the professor said that argument was BS he stormed out of the class and reported the professor for racism!
Well....9:59 here....and no I wouldn't pull out the slavery card, when in fact I'm not black. Is it your assumption that only black people on this site are the only ones that complain about what is shown on this site.
I am Russian, but that shouldn't have anything to do with it, born and raised in New Jersey. Maybe I have a different outlook on crime because I am from the north and you know.... (the north won - slavery bad, you guys have NASCAR ~ as Ben Stiller said it best in the "Night at the Museum").
Yes, the ratio of crime commited by blacks vs. whites is crazy. Do you have a list of the types of crimes commited. More "white" people commit the white collar crimes and pay a good lawyer to get them off, so you won't see as much of them I guess.
But then there are the "white" people that commit the most henious acts possible to man, like eating another person, torture, abductions, child abuse.
Most kids killed by their fathers/mothers that have been in the news lately are white.
When all the priests were getting in trouble messing with little kids, what color were they?
"Black" people on this site, that I see, commit the more everyday crimes, i.e. robbery, assault, carjackings, things that happen in every city you go into.
I'm not saying that any of it is right, be perpared...arm thyself and hopefully you will be able to go home to your family at night.
Most crime, whether it is commited by a black person or a white person, can be chalked up to education, upbringing and tolerance.
If your wrong, your wrong. If I'm pink with purple pokadots and I commit a crime, I should be prosecuted.
In New Jersey, we have the 3 strikes rule. Most of these people on this site would be behind bars already and not able to commit another crime out on the streets. But then that comes down to the judice system and whose cases they dismiss and whose they don't, how much money they have, who has a good lawyer and who have a public defender.
I live down here now (yes...us transplants are taking over) and I love your gun laws. I carry my gun in my purse and hold my head up high. I don't cross the street and walk on the other side cause I see a black kid with baggy jeans on. I don't dare him to try me either, but I have confidence that I can handle myself if and when a situation like that comes up.
I am a black belt and have awards in many martial arts and defense categories. I know how to kill someone using the cap of a pen!
My brother got robbed in Georgia, not by a black guy, but by a junkie white guy! Does that mean he should hate all white people, obviously not. Does that mean he should put every white person in the same category as this junkie. No.
That's the problem I see. People on this site tend to mesh every black person in one category and it's unfair to the ones that have an education, have a good job, never been arrested in their life.
My boss is black and highly decorated with medals from the military where he protected his fellow soliders, white black, Latino, Native-Indian. His mom was a judge before she passed away(Yes a black woman!) and NO black man in his family, from cousins to nephews to uncles were ever in prison. So to you's that say "those blacks" when writing something in this blog....it just makes yourself very ignorant!
The only category I have regularly seen blacks "lumped" into is the category of "responsibility and admittance".
That is not all blacks but the majority. You also seem to have the same attitude Mr. Black Belt.
