Teen Sent to Jail for Armed Robbery

William Gosier, 17, was found guilty and sentenced to serve 5 - 6 1/2 years in prison for an armed robbery offense he committed on January 22, 2007.

Police say the victim was working inside a home he was renovating on Rockwood Road when two young black males came inside and pointed handguns at him. They robbed him of his wallet and cash and fled in the neighborhood. Through the course of the investigation, a third suspect was also identified.

Gosier, then 16, and two juveniles, were located and arrested. Gosier was charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. On April 29, 2008, after only 1 hour of deliberation, a jury found William Gosier guilty on all counts. He had no prior record of convictions.

Yep, he looks sorry alright! Sorry he didnt get away with it. Right now, the best place for this kid is behind bars. Hes well on his way to creating more havoc for innocent people. There does not appear to be any rehabilitation for this youngster. He can become hardened and more pathetic living off the taxpayers for the next 5 years~providing hes not out early on good behavior~whatever THAT means!

Good, he should have got 60 years. Then we might not have to re-arrest him once he serves his time. I know most libs think that is too tough but most libs don't think about the danger of pointing loaded weapons @ people. He threatened to take a life and only got 5 years. Sweet deal for him. Libs become conservative once they become a victim.

What!!!! NO slap on the wrist? I thought this was Charlotte - the safe haven for criminals.
Does this mean we are getting tougher on crime, or is he the example?
I do have a question though....being that this is his first crime and he gets 5 years, why are so many criminals, that have lenghty records, not doing 5 or more years? How come they are still out on the streets and this "child" that made a "mistake" is going to jail.
It was peer pressure to point that gun....I'm sure! His boys coarsed him into this. He's a good boy.
(Just joking!)
