Woman Shot During Bank Robbery at the SECU

Shortly after 11:30 am, the State Employee's Credit Union (SECU) on Airport Center Pkwy, was robbed at gunpoint by a black male suspect. (Shown R)

During the robbery, the suspect shot a female bank employee. Police say she suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as having a dark complexion, skinny, about 6' tall and in his mid 20's.
Witnesses say a black man with dread locks was driving a blue Honda and both men took off in that car. Investigators recovered the Honda a short time later on Helena Street. The K-9 unit searched the area but were unable to capture the suspects.

They really need to do something more to protect our bank tellers! Bulletproof glass, metal detectors or security guards... SOMETHING!!! What is it going to take? A bank in Charlotte gets robbed almost every week!

The news has it all wrong! The get-away car was a blue Saturn not a Honda! They need to get there facts straight if they are going to catch anybody
