Man Sentenced for Delivery Truck Driver Robbery
On May 6, 2008, Tiamonta Tiar Robbins, 18, was convicted and sentenced to serve 6 1/2- 9 years in prison for a robbery he committed on March 6, 2007.
Robbins robbed a Frito Lay delivery truck driver at the Pilot Station, located on Statesville Avenue. While sitting in his delivery truck, the victim was approached by Robbins, who pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The victim attempted to flee and fell from the truck- causing severe damage to his wrist. Robbins then took a computer bag from the truck and fled the scene.
Tiamonta Robbins was arrested for the robbery on June 11, 2007. At the time of his arrest, he was on probation for a prior narcotics charge.

This thug needs more than 6 1/2 years!! He should have received 20 as a minimum to send the message to other thugs that this type of behavior is going to come to an end in Charlotte!!! Either that or put him in a cage with a martial arts expert and let's see how tough this punk is without his gun!!!
Protect citizens, you know the ones that pay and enable these thugs, by LOCKING THEM UP THE FIRST $%$&^()! time.
6 years??? this is ridiculous... this piece of SCUM doesn't deserve a 2nd chance
We should be more concerned with why it took 11 months for his trial. The investigation was completed and he was arrested in June 2007, but the trial was just completed last week. Inexcusable!
People need to wake up, get angry, and learn to fight back. These thugs know that they can intimidate because most people have no way of fighting back. If the prey start to inflict some damage, the predators are more likely to move on. 911 will not save you!
Do society, your family, and your wallet a favor. Just shoot him.
I know you can't do that, but we can put up a tent city, no air conditioning, no tv's, no ice tea, just tents, like our hero's sleep in in Iraq. Use it as a prison and lock these loosers up! When they get out, they will have a lot less desire to go back. Thugs take kindness as a weakness!
