Only in North Carolina!!! you don't see this crap in NYC! banks have bullet proof windows and the NYPD it's always at banks. This state will never grow like this. This state should make more severe laws and hardly punish thugs.

to 815pm, I completely agree! When I moved down here ten years ago, I was mightily shocked to walk into a bank and there NOT be four-inch glass separating me from the teller! Moreover, I was aghast when I walked into a Harris Teeter and there was an open air bank branch right there!

That certainly did not last long... that little social experiment couldn't thrive in the ridiculously unjust system in Charlotte. I remember one year later, going for lunch to the Teeter across Mallard Creek only to see scores of CMPD, hovering helo overhead... after a man walked in to the grocery store with an AK-47 and went right to the BofA center inside and held it up! They promptly closed that one down, and more soon followed.

Charlotte CMPD need at least 500-1,000 more sworn officers; Meck (as well know) has a dearth of DA's (and a serious leadership problem beginning with Gilchrist at the top); and just a little less sympathy for the hoodlums who are causing this mayhem.

With the current financial mess -- WOW. It's going to be a rough ride for the next year or two; brace yourselves, Charlotte !!

current laws favor the thugs, and they know it. Thats why they are having a field day ! It is MUCH worse than the papers are saying.
Charlotte is in BIG trouble.
CMPD is doing a great job !

I always look inside a bank and observe the body language of those that are already in the bank before I even walk inside if at all possible. I almost always also bring my pocket .380 in with me as well. You never know when you could be walking into a situation such as this. Better a .380 in your pocket than a .45 in your glove box I have always heard.

check your state gun laws MR. 380.
While I agree in principal, packing your piece isn't permitted unless you intend to rob the bank..then they'll drop the charge and put you on probation.
But for the rest, yes, prepare for a sharp increase in crime as more folks justify bad behavior because they are out of work, out of a home, out of faith in their government and out of hope. If you don't own a gun, buy one, learn to use it, learn the law and learn the other functional things you can do to be less of a target.
We have some great police, but crappy justice system and our governing leadership has no intention of helping with this issue so prepare to take personal responsibility.

Look at the way he is holding his gun,any competent gun owner could shoot him dead before he knew what was going on.

This must be the way they teach you to shoot in the ghetto .

Thank you Mr DA for letting this animal roam our streets. I would bet my 100 dollar bill to your dollar he has a long record already.

In the old west, Wells Fargo had a man riding "shotgun" on the stagecoaches. I think the banks should revive this practice, using 12 ga. guns. They'd have a better chance of hitting this thug than he would hitting them. He's holding his gun above his head!!
