Drug Seizure in Mint Hill

Mint Hill Police served a search warrant in the 11100 block of Lawyers Road in reference to the occupant, Michael MacConnell, manufacturing marijuana at the residence. Officers entered the residence around 1:30pm and found over 300 marijuana plants and an elaborate indoor growing operation.

In addition to the marijuana manufacturing, officers located several chemicals which are known precursors to manufacturing other controlled substances. Mint Hill Police enlisted the help of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) in processing the evidence. A chemist from the SBI is en route to assist with identifying the chemicals found on scene.

Michael MacConnell has been taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail and charged with the following crimes:

-Manufacture of a CS Schedule VI
-Possession of a precursor chemical to controlled substance
-Trafficking Schedule VI
-Maintain a dwelling for sale of controlled substance
-Possession of drug paraphernalia

oooooo, im so scared of the guy growing weed in his home, never mind the rapist, murders, child molesters, home invaders, thevies, and a host of other real criminals that could use the attention of the DEA, SBI, plus our own fine police here, i bet if we got that much attention on real criminals, kids would be safe at the bus stop!!! my car would be safe in the drive way!!! and i wouldnt have to carry a gun everywhere!!!

well do you know what happens when a meth lab explodes. It releases a cloud of toxic fumes and if your within the area you die. So I would say the bust did improve public safety.

well if you would read the post, it stated he had an elaborate growing system, which i can only assume that means more than just pots of dirt and lights, so you would need chemicals to do so, and it also stated that the chemicals were know as precursors to make other controled substances, not that any other substances were found at the home or a meth lab on the scene, plus SBI was enroute to identify the chemicals so how sure are the cops of what they are, thats a little differant than having a meth lab explode, by the way if you have floor cleaner under your sink you have a precursor to the drug known as GHB or G, its people like you who listen to what your told instead of reading between the lines and thinking just a little, you know it all, but dont think a bit.

Well 9:25 sounds like you have all the balls in the world, why not market it. How about when police find possible meth labs they call you up, you go inside and shake up the chemicals. If you make it out there good to go and if not i guess they can call the lab boys. Could save tax payers some money knowing if they need to call the hazmat people or not.
