CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two teenagers have been charged with murder after police say they were involved in a string of crimes in the Charlotte area that ended with a deadly shooting.

According to Charlotte police, 16-year-old Randy Shaun Lloyd and a 15-year-old juvenile have been charged with the murder of Ronald Glenn Gullette.

Police say Gullette was fatally shot at his home at the 2400 block of Hemby Wood Drive just before 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The deadly shooting was the culmination of a string of crimes, according to police, that started at 2:30 Sunday morning.

That’s where police say two men stole a teal Saturn vehicle from the 4700 block of N. Tryon Street.

Around 4 a.m., a man says he was approached by a man with an object in his hand along West Boulevard.  His phone and gray Dodge Ram 1500 were stolen.

That same truck was used several hours later, around 7:45 a.m. Sunday morning, in the robbery of a jogger along the 2200 block of Canterwood Drive.

Another man was driving to his house about 30 minutes later, when he told police a gray Dodge pickup driving behind him along the 7700 block of Pence Road.  An armed man jumped out and demanded his vehicle and wallet.

The pickup truck was seen leaving the scene of Gullette’s murder 90 minutes later.

According to police, an officer saw the truck around 10:30 a.m. and attempted to stop the driver. A short vehicle pursuit ensued.

Three people jumped and ran from the truck and two juveniles, a male and a female, were caught by officers and charged with resist, delay and obstruct.

They were interviewed by detectives and the teen boy was charged with murder, four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and attempted robbery.

The teen girl was charged with resist, delay and obstruct and released to her guardians. Detectives have determined that she was not involved in the homicide or robberies.

Randy Shaun Lloyd, 16, was identified as the second person involved in the crime spree, according to police. He turned himself in to police Monday afternoon.

And on Tuesday, a third person, Bobby Lannell Hargrove, 16, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact.

He’s been charged with murder, attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Detectives are also looking to identify two other suspects involved in these incidents.

There is a cash reward through Crime Stoppers leading to their apprehension.  Anyone with information concerning their identities or whereabouts is asked to call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 704.334.1600.
