Authorities in Mount Holly are investigating a car crash that killed an elderly couple on Monday.
Mount Holly Police officers were dispatched to the scene of a car accident on West Charlotte Avenue. The vehicle had come to rest in a creek after running off the road and down a bank.
Investigators believe the car was headed east when the accident occurred, but are still trying to determine the cause.
The accident claimed one of the passengers immediately, while another was pronounced deceased after being taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center. Authorities identified Mr. James and Mrs. Kate Frazier. The couple were from Mount Holly and were both 94 years old.
