Bond Denied for UBN Gang Members in Killing of Londons

londonsSix members of the United Blood Nation gang involved in the gunning down of Doug and Debbie London in their Lake Wylie, S.C. home were in court Monday before U.S. Magistrate Judge David Cayer.

Five of the members were ordered to be held without bail pending arraignments. Those were:

  • Daquan “Day Day” Everett, 20
  • Centrilia “CeCe” Leach, 31
  • Randall “Foe” Hankins, 20
  • Ahkeem “Lil Keem” McDonald, 21
  • Rahkeem “Big Keem” McDonald, 22

Each defendant requested jury trials and pleaded not guilty. According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Greene, each of the five are threats to public safety and should be considered flight risks.

On Monday, Greene told the federal judge how Jamell Cureton, leader of the United Blood Nation cell called the “Valentine Bloods,” and other members planned the killing of the Londons for several weeks even though Cureton was in jail.

Cureton, known as “Assassin” and “Murda Mel”, was behind bars at the time in the robbing of the Londons’ South Boulevard mattress store in May. He planned the killings over the phone, through meetings, and even written orders last October, according to court documents.

Last week, twelve of the UBN members were indicted on different charges, from conspiracy and racketeering to murder. Hankins, Cureton, and four more were charged with the killing of the Londons. They could possibly face a death sentence if convicted.
