Lincoln County police arrested a Charlotte man this week for using the credit card of a builder in Chapel Hill to buy a zero turn lawn mower from an eastern Lincoln County Lowe’s on N.C. 73.
Lucius Anthony Williams, 41, was arrested in Mecklenburg County and charged with felony identity theft and felony attempting to obtain property by false pretense.
Williams used the card, which belongs to Grau Building Co., on April 22, according to sheriff’s investigators.
The stolen lawn mower was worth $2,732, investigators said.
Willams has been released on bail of $3,000 pending a June 11 Lincoln County District Court appearance.
