Man Arrested After Marijuana, Cash Found In Refrigerator

Man Accused Of Stealing Money From Donation JarA man living in the Lincolnton area was arrested Tuesday following an anonymous tip sent through the drug tip line of the sheriff’s office that led to Lincoln County sheriff’s investigators seizing a lot of marijuana.

The marijuana was seized from a house in the 200 block of Bynum Road, which is south of Lincolnton. Almost three pounds of marijuana worth between $3,000 and $4,000 plus $1,100 in cash was found in a refrigerator in an outbuilding.

Police charged Terrell Richard Sweet, 45, with one felony count each of maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sweet is free on bail of $8,000.
