Salisbury Officials Investigate 7 Unsolved Homicides from Last 2 Years

SPDSeven homicides that were left unsolved within the last two years are being investigated by officials with the Salisbury Police Department.

One of the cases involves 18-year-old Steven Rosario who was found fatally shot four months ago in an apartment close to Salisbury High School. The shooter has still not been found.

The death was just one of five other homicides that occurred in 2015 in Salisbury. One of the homicides was cleared by arrested, police said. In 2014, Salisbury had four murders, one of which was also cleared by arrest.

Police said they do have suspects in several of the cases, but they haven’t been able to arrest those suspects.

In May, someone shot at the car of Kejuan Sweat in East Spencer and killed him. Sweat’s 4-year-old son had also been in the vehicle and was shot five times. The child survived.

According to the State Bureau of Investigation, the death of Rosario and Sweat may be connected.
