Woman Involved in Gastonia Wreck Responds with ‘Faith, Hope, Love’

CIC Default Police Line TapeA bizarre incident happened in Gastonia after a woman who was hurt in a wreck involving two civilian cars and two police cars answered “faith, hope, and love” when asked what her name was.

The wreck occurred at East Ozark Avenue and New Hope Road about 4 p.m., the Gastonia Police Department said.

Police had received a call about a reckless and careless driver. Upon arrival, officers saw the woman hit the two civilian cars, two police cars, a guy wire, and finally a fire hydrant, before going down a 12-foot embankment where her vehicle flipped.

The woman was taken to be checked out at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Since she gave a bizarre answer for her name, police have not been able to identify the woman.

There were no other injuries in the wreck.
