A man in Batavia, Chicago, didn’t realize that a photo booth he stole cash from was taking pictures of him at the end of last November.
According to police, the thief broke into the cash drawer of a photo booth at the indoor amusement park Funway Amusements.
According to Detective Kevin Bretz, the man didn’t know that this photo booth was set up to take pictures if the machine was tampered with. Police were able to retrieve three images of the man because of this feature.
The suspect stole $75 from the machine and caused an additional $75 in damage.
Although the crime was committed in November, the business owner didn’t have the pictures retrieved from the machine until this week. The pictures were shared with the media and posted on Facebook.
Batavia police ask anyone who recognizes the suspect to call 630-454-2500.
