Someone cut off the heads of six chickens belonging to a Rock Hill man before putting the chickens back into their pen sometime between Friday and Saturday, the York County Sheriff’s Office said.
The incident occurred at a Canberra Drive home, the sheriff’s report said.
The owner reported the incident and said he believed the person took the chickens away and hung them upside down before cutting off their heads, then brought them back to the caged area.
Three of the chickens were in the pen and three others were placed in the yard.
There have been no arrests yet made.
