HazMat Brought In After Meth Lab Discovered in Rock Hill

Carpenter, BryanAuthorities called in a HazMat team in Rock Hill after drug agents found a methamphetamine lab in Rock Hill.

Police arrested 24-year-old Bryan Carpenter on Wednesday at a home on Carrie Estates Road after a search warrant was executed by the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit.

Marijuana, methamphetamine, and a meth lab were seized from the location. A hazardous materials truck was sent by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to dispose of the chemicals found.

Carpenter has been charged with second-degree manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine, according to the police report. He is held on $55,000 bond at the York County Detention Center.

Authorities had arrived at the home looking for Clifford Canfield who lives there and has an outstanding arrest warrant, but he wasn’t found.
