Lincoln County Residents Arrested for Drugs Found During Stop

Johnson, Alvin JackTwo residents of Lincoln County where arrested on Wednesday after officers were alerted about drugs during a traffic stop.

Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle close to Car Farm Road and Maiden Highway after they recognized the car’s driver was someone without a driver’s license. During the stop, Canine Anya performed a sniff of the vehicle and altered officer to drugs in it.

Police have charged 30-year-old Stephanie Danielle Metcalf of Maiden and 36-year-old Alvin Jack Johnson of Lincolnton with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of methamphetamine. Each were jailed on bail set at $6,000.

Metcalf was also served an outstanding warrant for misdemeanor second-degree trespassing and Johnson one for driving while license revoked.
