Gastonia Residents Displaced By Monday Fire

CIC Default Police Line TapeSeveral residents in Gastonia were displaced on Monday after a blaze that started in a one-story house.

The fire was called in at 5:33 p.m. Monday and occurred at 1015 Holland Ave.

Twenty firefighters and five fire trucks responded to find the home under heavy fire. They discovered three rooms impacted the most after going inside.

The fire was put out within 10 minutes and created more than $50,000 in damages. The American Red Cross’s Gaston County chapter help displace the residents.

There were no injuries and the incident is still being investigated.
