CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Amber Alert that was issued on Sunday for a missing 10-year-old boy by Charlotte Mecklenburg police has been cancelled.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, a domestic dispute led up to the Amber Alert. Symiir Issa Speaks was located with his mother by Fayetteville police around 3 a.m. The boy was unharmed.
According to law enforcement, there was a custody dispute between a husband and his ex-wife that happened Sunday afternoon on Bird Watch Lane.
Police do not plan on pressing charges after an Amber Alert was issued in north Charlotte on Sunday.
