Another Shooting In Hidden Valley Sends Man To Hospital

Hidden ValleyCHARLOTTE, N.C. – Medics rushed a man to the hospital with a wound to the stomach after he says he was hit by gunfire from a passing truck last night.

The call came out around 11:30 Wednesday night.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrived on the scene on Regan Road and Tom Hunter Road in northeast Charlotte to find the victim collapsed in front of a motel.

The CMPD says the unnamed man was walking down the road, when a black SUV pulled up along side of him.

At least one of the occupants inside leveled a gun out the window, and opened fire.

The victim was able to stumble around the corner to get help.  The SUV fled the area, and hasn’t been seen since.

Police shut the area down as crime scene investigators searched for evidence.  According to officers on the scene, the victim is expected to survive.

On Tuesday, police were involved in an undercover drug operation in the Hidden Valley Elementary School parking lot that left an informant wounded and a suspect dead.
