Over the weekend officers arrested a man suspected of breaking into a car in the Plaza Midwood area.
According to police, a witness saw someone break into a car on Thomas Street around 12:30am Saturday. The witness gave the police a description of the man. Officers stopped a man looking into parked vehicles that matched that description of the suspect. When officers tried to approach the man, the suspect took off. It was a brief foot pursuit before police were able to arrest the man.
The suspect was identified as Kyle Holbert, 24. He is being charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and resisting a public officer.
