CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police identified a suspect in the murder of Dorothy C. Gregg, 88, in west Charlotte.
Detectives charged Robert Maurice Nixon with murder, breaking and entering, financial transaction card theft, and unauthorized use of a financial card.
Police said Gregg was found dead in a home on the 3800 block of Plainview Road.
CMPD says a family member found Gregg unconscious in the house Thursday evening around 7:31 p.m.
Medic pronounced her dead at the scene.
Gregg’s family has been notified.
