CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police confirm a CMS elementary school is on lockdown.
This morning, the Ashley Park PreK – 8 School went on lockdown after a gun was found on campus.
Police say no armed individuals have been located at the school or in the area, but they are actively looking. Many police and investigators are on the scene.
Ashley Park PreK – 8 is located in the 2400 block of Belfast Drive in a neighborhood off of Ashley Road in West Charlotte.
