CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ashley Park School on Belfast Drive in West Charlotte was on lockdown briefly Wednesday, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools officials.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said it received a call about a suspicious person in the area before 11:30 a.m.
CMS officials said the lockdown was lifted around 11:40 a.m. after CMPD gave the school an all clear.
Ashley Park School has students ranging from pre-K to eighth grade.
