Thirty-one year-old Christal Morrison has been missing from her Concord home since August 23rd, after she left her job on foot. Click here to read our coverage of her disappearance. A tip was called in to the authorities that stated Morrison’s body may be in a pond at a rock quarry in Cabarrus County.
The search, which is being led by the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office and Concord Police, started Thursday morning at a rock quarry near N. C. Highway 49. Officials with the Charlotte Fire Department are helping detectives look for any signs of the body.
Officially, police have not said that they are looking for Morrison’s body specifically. Crime in Charlotte (.com) will bring you updates on the search as they become available.
