On Monday a body was found in a car that had fallen down an embankment in McDowell County. According to police it looks like the car went about 500 feet off the road and then fell down the embankment about 100 feet. This happened about 8 miles south of Marion.
The car was found by someone investigating a report of illegal dumping.
Right now officials are investigating on whether or not this discovery could be connected to the missing woman whose phone was last pinged in McDowell County.
