Car Crash Sends Vehicle Through ESPN 730 Studio

ESPNA car crashed through ESPN 730’s studio on Monday afternoon during Marty Hurney’s radio show.

The crash followed a collision with two vehicles just before 3 p.m. The studio is located at the corner of Church Street and Morehead Street. The former general manager of the Carolina Panthers was being featured in the studio’s three-hour show that day, which had just been finishing up.

Tom Sorensen, former columnist for the Charlotte Observer, had been discussing the Panthers’ Super Bowl 50 loss with Hurney when one of the cars crashed through the studio building.

Hurney, Sorensen, and the studio personnel were not injured. On person had to be taken away in an ambulance. Their current condition is unknown.
