Over 20,000 people live in Charlotte’s Central Division, but that number swells to well over 100,000 during business hours, which contains an important part of the city’s business district. Central Division is the headquarters of 2 of the nation’s largest banks. Johnson & Wales University and Central Piedmont Community College are both located in Central Division, as well as a planned branch of UNCC.
