CONCORD, N.C. – Concord police on Thursday arrested a South Carolina store manager from Indian Trail who they say exposed himself multiple times at a Concord business plaza and another time at the Lancaster Belk Store where he works.  He videotaped the incidents.

Chris Brien Clark, 46, of Indian Trail, was charged Thursday with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace and placed in the Cabarrus County Jail under a $2,000 bond after an incident at Speedway Plaza.

At about 10:16 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a man exposing himself at the plaza, located at 7730 Bruton Smith Blvd.

Police say officers arrived to find Clark nude but getting dressed, according to an arrest report. He had a tripod with a video camera on it recording his actions.

Police say the video showed Clark “completely naked except for sunglasses” and “manipulating” himself, according to the arrest report.

There were two videos of Clark at the plaza, one on each floor. At the time, police say, multiple men, women and children were in the area on Bruton Smith Boulevard and at adjacent businesses.

Another video on the camera showed Clark at a Belk’s department store in Lancaster, S.C., where he is a manager.

He set up a camera in the customer service area of the store, removed his clothing and started “manipulating” himself for the camera, staying just out of view of other employees, according to the arrest report.

Police say Clark told them he thought what he was doing was OK because he didn’t think anyone could see him, according to the report.  He also said he has done the same thing for a while but doesn’t need help.

He was charged with indecent exposure in Monroe in 2009, but the charges were dismissed.

Clark’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 16.
