Charlotte Man Arrested in Clover Home Invasion

LoweryA Charlotte man was arrested in York in connection with a Clover home invasion that happened earlier in July.

Jermaine Lamar Lowery, 23, of Charlotte, has been charged with criminal conspiracy, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, armed robbery, and four counts of kidnapping, jail records show. He was held without bond at the Moss Justice Center.

Lowery and two other men, all armed, broke into a Birchwood Drive home during the day on July 11, police said. They then reportedly a victim, 17, and tied up a man, his wife, and the man’s co-worker in the home. The suspects also hit the husband in the head several times with a gun.

The four victims called 911 after finally escaping, police said.

Investigators are working to identified the other two suspects who have not yet been arrested, a spokesman for the York County Sheriff’s Office said.
