A Charlotte man was killed in a shooting Friday, police said.
Jeremy Young, 23, was pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center after being shot right before 1 p.m. in the 1500 block of Newcastle Street, off LaSalle Street between I-77 and Beatties Ford Road.
Alphonzo Jeeter, 18, was arrested by police without incident and charged with property damage and murder in the shooting.
Police say they believe Jeeter and Young knew one another, but it hasn’t been released what led to the shooting.
