A Chester man has been arrested and charged with murder Friday before a woman was found dead close to her Fifth Street home last month.
Jermaine Marquel Bell, 30, was held without bond at the Chester County detention center.
According to arrest warrants, Bell strangled Judith Lindsay. She was reported as missing and her body was found in a bushy area without clothes on Sept. 13, police said.
The body was found two days after Bell’s arrest, according to court records. Bell had been charged with receiving stolen goods and trespassing, for crimes unrelated to the death, according to Chief Deputy Robert Sprouse from the sheriff’s office.
