Child Abuse Charges For Mom’s Boyfriend After Kids Were Burned With Iron

child abuseCHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a child abuse case that occurred off Pineburr Road in east Charlotte.

Investigators say that two young brothers, ages 10 and 6, were burned with a hot iron.

The incident happened last week, but was not discovered until employees at a day camp noticed the injuries and took action.

Late Friday afternoon police signed warrants against 22-year-old Ryan Wilson, the boyfriend of the mother in this case. He is charged with two counts of child abuse.

The Department of Social Services removed the two children out of the home and placed them with their grandmother.

Police believe that Wilson was horsing around with the two kids when he when he burned them with a clothing iron.

Family members say the mother was at work when this incident happened.
