A South Carolina toddler is dead after shooting himself with a gun. The two year old boy was at a home near Conway on Christmas night when he grabbed the gun off a table and pulled the trigger, shooting himself.
Rondell Smith, 30, is being charged with the shooting. Police said because Smith brought the gun into the home, he will be charged with involuntary manslaughter. According to some family members, Smith had the gun with him because someone had tried to break into the family’s home a couple weeks ago.
Police have not released if or how the boy and Smith are related.
