CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police department conducted another nighttime DWI checking station last night for the Booze it and Lose it campaign.
They were set up last night at the intersection of Park Road and Kenilworth Avenue. The BAT Mobile (breath testing bus) was on site to assist.
The checkpoint netted 46 total charges from warrants to seat belt violations, including 8 arrests for DWI.
The checkpoint is in conjunction with the Booze it and Lose it Independence Day Campaign that runs through July 7th.
