Police in Charlotte are looking for the person responsible for a drive-by shooting that took place Thursday evening in southeast Charlotte. The victim, a 25 year-old woman, was sitting in her 2011 red Honda as it was parked in her driveway. The residence is located on Knickerbocker Drive, which lies off Monroe Road.
Shortly before 10:30 that night, a dark-colored four-door car slowly drove past the driveway. As the car passed, one of the occupants fired multiple shots at the victim’s car and house. The victim was hit by at least one gunshot and transported to Carolinas Medical Center, where she is expected to recover.
When the shooting occurred, there were three women inside the home. A police report notes that all of the women involved were intoxicated from drugs, with the exception of the victim.
