A NON-EMERGENCY SERVICES REPORT SPECIALIST IS A TRAINED PERSON WHO TAKES REPORTS OVER THE PHONE SO THAT SUFFICIENT FIELD UNITS ARE AVAILABLE TO RESPOND TO LIFE THREATENING CALLS FOR SERVICE
Please call the Non-Emergency Services Unit when:
* Cold crimes where the Officer’s presence at the scene would not benefit the outcome of the case. * Minor property crimes. Call 911 if they are in progress.
* Minor crimes against persons, i.e. suspect gone, time has elapsed, minor injuries involved.
* Larceny from vehicles.
* Cold break-ins- of outbuildings, garages, sheds, etc.
* Harassing or threatening phone calls.
* Petty larceny such as gas driveoffs, shoplifting, bicycles, hubcaps, etc.
