CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating an alleged assault on an officer.
Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of West Sugar Creek Road and Reagan Drive, police say an officer was assaulted, sustaining non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, an officer was dragged by a vehicle. The officers were investigating a possible domestic violence situation when the alleged assault on the officer occurred.
Several people are being interviewed and are in police custody; no arrests have yet been made.
