CMPD Seek Man Who Pepper Sprayed Dog at 7-11

Surveillance pictures have been released of the man suspected of pepper-spraying a dog in a vehicle at a 7-11.

Police said about 2:15 p.m. on Jan. 13, a man sprayed pepper spray through a small opening in a vehicle window that was parked in the 7-11 gas station at 12710 S. Tryon St.

The dog suffered irritation and pain but no permanent damage, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40 years old, average build, and 6-foot-2-inches tall, wearing a black jacket, blue shirt, and black pants. It is believed the man was driving a dark blue minivan.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
