CMPD Seeks Assistance In Gas Station Robbery

gate1gate2CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Robbery Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have released surveillance photos hoping to get assistance in identifying the suspects in an armed robbery.

Around 6:30 Friday morning, two black men entered the Gate Station at 4712 Monroe Road and asked the clerk about buying beer.  The clerk told them they could not buy beer until 7:00 a.m. so they stayed around the cooler until another customer left the store.  The men then approached the counter, pointed handguns at the clerk and demanded money.

gate3gate4One of the suspects was described as approximately 25 years old, 5’ 9” in height, 170 lbs., dark skin, short cut hair, last seen wearing a black hat with a shiny sticker on the brim, black sunglasses, a black t-shirt and blue jeans with a design on the back pockets.

The second suspect was described as 24 years of age, 6’ 2” in height or taller, 175 lbs., long dreadlocks, last seen wearing all black and a black White Sox ball cap with the stickers still on the brim.
