Craigslist Deal Turned Into Armed Robbery In Walmart Parking Lot

LANCASTER, S.C. — A man was arrested and charged with armed robbery after a man said he was robbed in a parking lot, according to Lancaster, S.C., police.

On Monday, a man said he was robbed at gunpoint by two men at the Walmart at 805 Highway Bypass West. He said the men took a large amount of cash, his wallet, keys and two GPS systems before running away on foot.

The man said he had been communicating with someone in reference to a sale of a vehicle posted on Craigslist. He agreed to meet the seller at the Walmart to deliver a down payment.

The Lancaster Police Department said Malcolm Shaquille Williams, 18, of Rock Hill, S.C., was arrested Wednesday night and charged with armed robbery and possession of a handgun during the commission of a violent crime. Williams turned himself in to police.
