Dallas Woman Arrested for DWI, Driving Too Slow

AR-160509710.jpg&MaxW=315&MaxH=315A Dallas woman was stopped in her car Wednesday after an officer noticed the vehicle going 10 to 15 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Nena Olivia Gonzalez, 58, was stopped just before 2 a.m. on Franklin Boulevard, near the intersection of Trenton Street. Police said she struggled to keep her eyes open after she was stopped in her 1990 Honda.

Police said Gonzalez drove over the four-lane road’s center line. Her pupils were small, she was unsteady on her feet, and her speech was slurred.

An officer also found Endocet, Xanax, and less than a half ounce of marijuana in the car or on Gonzalez.

She was charged with driving left of center, DWI, three counts of drug possession, and driving with a revoked license not due to impairment. She was held in Gaston County Jail before being released to a sober adult two hours later.
